Meet Tina, your person on the ground.
“I want you to feel informed, comfortable and looked after from the first message to the final stop.”
Tina is an independent Guangzhou-based guide, interpreter and business assistant. After leaving office-based e-commerce work, she began helping international visitors solve real problems face to face.
Her role goes beyond translating words. She helps clients understand the local context, ask better questions and move through unfamiliar situations with less stress.
What clients say about working with Tina.
“Tina was absolutely invaluable during my time in Guangzhou. I had a full schedule of meetings across the province, and without her help I genuinely would not have been able to navigate the logistics or communicate effectively. She was consistently polite, professional, and thoughtful, and even made sure to accommodate my food restrictions throughout the trip. She also demonstrated strong knowledge of the local territory, which was tremendously helpful when coordinating transportation and timing between meetings. Her language fluency was excellent. Tina translated clearly and accurately during meetings, ensuring that both sides fully understood the discussions. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone traveling to Guangzhou for business who needs a reliable and professional guide or interpreter.”
“Had the pleasure of working with Tina as my Personal Assistant during my recent trip to Guangzhou and Shenzhen, and I couldn’t be more satisfied with her service. From airport pickups and hotel coordination to factory visits, translations, and negotiations—Tina handled everything with professionalism, efficiency, and a positive attitude. She’s incredibly organized, reliable, and has a strong local network that made everything run smoothly. Her communication skills in both English and Chinese are excellent, and she always went the extra mile to make sure I was comfortable and everything was in order. If you’re looking for a trustworthy and proactive assistant in China, Tina is absolutely the one!”

Is Tour Guide in China a tour company, or will I be working directly with Tina?
Tour Guide in China is my personal website. I’m a self-employed, Guangzhou-based tour guide and interpreter—not a travel agency or tour company. Before becoming a guide, I worked in e-commerce and managed websites for international markets, which is why I was able to build and manage this website myself. When you contact me, you’ll be speaking directly with me, and I’ll personally accompany you during your time in China.
